PROGRAM SCHEDULE FOR THE LADIES

Programme between 3.00 PM and 8.00 PM

THE FIRST - Visit is to the Aurobindo Ashram Samadhi and to two unique Ashram organizations. At the Samadhi, you can also buy a large range of literature by Sri Aurobindo, The Mother and their disciples.

THE SECOND - Visit is to an organization called The Marbling Works where stunning designs are created on textiles using a secret marbling technique. The printing is very durable and long lasting. The point to be noted is that these sarees, dress materials, scarves and neckties etc are available only here and nowhere else. Ashram does not have any branches, agents or distributors anywhere.

THE THIRD - Ashram handmade paper factory where you can see hand made paper being made and you can buy a wide selection of this paper and items made of this paper.

THE FOURTH - Credit card trip. We mean a shopping trip to Nehru Street and the area around it. One should be careful in choosing this option as it can take more time and credit limit than you have!

Everyone, please be at Ocean Spray Resort not later than 9:30am.

MORNING SESSION 10:00am.

The session is mainly a “Tea and Cakes” snack time. The hosts are a multi-national training firm, so there would be a lot of “yummy snacky” items prepared by the chefs of Ocean Spray. While you are enjoying the yummmmmmmy snacks, presenters from the host firm would walk around among you, speak to you and explain some very interesting -and remunerative training opportunities for you and for your children that have now become available in India.

NOTE: You do not have to be particular about the time. It is a Sunday so you can get up whenever you like and then have a leisurely breakfast at your hotel. When you reach the resort, your friends will tell you what superb treat, and the delightful presentation you missed.

AREA TOUR BY SPECIAL COACHES 11:00am

The tour starts with a visit to a small COSMIC ENERGY TEMPLE nearby. Sri Aurobindo had laid out the mathematical plans of a structure, based on ancient manuscripts, to focus the cosmic energies. Uvraj Karan Singh, Chairman Auroville, engaged the services of a UNESCO Architect to design such a structure in the form of a temple.

We have taken many of our Muslim and Christian visitors to see the place as we consider it a national icon.

LUNCH AT AUROVILLE SOLAR KITCHEN

This kitchen is designed by residents of Auroville on environmental lines, making use of only solar energy for all their cooking. Your lunch is sponsored by a multi-national Health and Beauty management firm. They are designing a special (delicious) menu for lunch. They will explain to you that the concept of one diet plan being good for all is wrong: A diet good for you may actually be harmful for me. They will also show how a healthy meal can also be delicious. Please be ready with your questions.
